Slide Gate Refractory

Slide Gate Refractories include Slide Plate, Collector Nozzle, Laddle Nozzle. This are used in ladle for controlling the liquid steel flow from Ladle to Tundish. This helps in free flow and improved downstream of molten Metal. They are subjected to thermal stress and physical abrasion from molten metal and slag. As a result, number of different chemistries and bond systems are made to best match the grades of steel and chemistries of the slag. Specific physical, chemical and mineralogical compositions of high purity ensure high corrosion and erosion resistance, optimum thermal shock resistance to yield optimum performance. Their main features are High Density, Low Porosity and High Strength.
