Refractory Brick
Refractory brick is a ceramic material that is normally used in high-temperature environments because of its lack of flammability and because it is a decent insulator, which reduces the amount of energy loss. Refractory brick is typically comprised of aluminum oxides and silica. It is also known as “firebrick”.
This material is used in lining furnaces, kilns, fireboxes, and fireplaces. A refractory brick is built primarily to withstand high temperature, but will also usually have a low thermal conductivity for greater energy efficiency.
Castable
Castable are non-metallic materials that have chemical and physical properties used for creating heat-resistant structures that can control loss of heat. As a durable and high strength material that offers low heat conductivity, these materials are also excellent for creating structures because of their stability. Due to heat resistant building materials they are used in building large furnaces (kilns) in factories that specialize in cement, fertilizer, chemical, and petrochemical production.
Ramming Mass
Ramming mass is a pre-blended dry vibratables refractory made from a selected mix of SILICA GRAINS. This blend of grains along with a binder, BORIC ACID forms the working lining in an Induction furnace used for melting steel
